From Shell to Solution

Our production process — purpose-built for Malaysia's tropical biomass

1. Raw Material Sourcing

Coconut shells from Sabah and Sarawak. Palm kernel shells from Selangor and Johor. Long-term partnerships ensure consistent supply while helping local farms solve waste disposal challenges.

2. Drying

Industrial rotary drying drum

Because coconut shells arrive with moisture content well above 10%, they cannot be carbonized directly. We feed them through our rotary drying drum — a critical pre-processing step that brings moisture down to specification and stabilizes the feedstock for uniform carbonization downstream.

3. Carbonization

Carbonization furnace equipment

Dry shells undergo anaerobic pyrolysis in oxygen-controlled environments inside our carbonization furnace. The material is heated to high temperatures in the absence of oxygen — a process that transforms the biomass into high-grade bio-charcoal with a dense, stable carbon structure. Shell residues and byproducts from this stage feed directly into our green energy loop.

4. Activation

Activated carbon product

For our flagship activated carbon, we take select bio-charcoal and apply steam physical activation combined with precise chemical activation. These processes open up the microporous structure of the coconut shell carbon — creating an exceptionally high surface area that delivers the adsorption performance required for industrial wastewater treatment, decolorization, and air filtration across Southeast Asia.

5. Green Energy Loop

Biomass pellets

Shell fragments and processing byproducts are compressed into biomass pellet fuel or gasified to produce syngas. This green energy powers portions of our own facility and supplies neighboring operations — closing the loop from agricultural waste to renewable energy.

6. Quality & Sustainability

Production line

Full traceability from raw material to finished product. Continuous improvement in conversion efficiency, emission reduction, and product consistency. Our goal: set the standard for sustainable tropical biomass processing in Southeast Asia.
