Harvesting value from waste, driving green development
GRAND NOIR RESOURCES SDN. BHD. is a Malaysian enterprise built on a simple idea: the byproducts of Southeast Asia's agricultural industries hold untapped value. Every year, Malaysia's palm oil and coconut industries generate millions of tonnes of shell waste. We saw an opportunity to turn that waste into something useful — and we took it.
Operating under the philosophy "Harvesting Value from Waste, Driving Green Development," we have built an integrated production chain. Coconut shells from Sabah and Sarawak. Palm kernel shells from Selangor and Johor. Advanced anaerobic pyrolysis and activation processes. The result: products that serve agriculture, industry, and the environment across Southeast Asia.
Our facility sits at the intersection of Malaysia's largest agricultural regions. The roads that deliver our raw materials are lined with the very palm plantations that generate our feedstock. Long-term partnerships ensure stable, cost-effective supply.
As Malaysia accelerates its renewable energy and carbon neutrality agenda, we are deepening R&D in coconut shell bio-charcoal modification and biomass energy storage. Through collaboration with local universities and environmental institutions, we aim to become the benchmark enterprise linking tropical shell waste recycling with the Southeast Asian green carbon product market.
